ATLANTA - Georgia lost 32,600 jobs in the 12 months ending last month.
The state Labor Department says that's a .9 percent decline from 3.85 million jobs to 3.81 million.
Metro Gainesville was among the leaders in job losses during the period, losing 1,400 or 1.9 percent. The number of jobs dropped from 73,300 in October 2010 to 71,900 last month.
Metro Atlanta lost 22,100 or one percent.
But Athens added 500 jobs, a .6 percent increase, from 81,300 to 81,800.
