LAWRENCEVILLE - Organizers of a town hall meeting to discuss controversial new toll lanes in metro Atlanta say they're frustrated that representatives of the State Road and Tollway Authority won't attend.
Chris Haley, who helped organize Thursday night's town hall meeting in Gwinnett County, says residents would like to pose their questions to state officials face-to-face.
Since SRTA officials won't attend, Haley says their written answers to questions would be read aloud during the meeting at 7 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice Center in Lawrenceville.
Angry motorists stormed out of an earlier public meeting on the project in Buford.
The new tolls are on I-85 in parts of Gwinnett and DeKalb counties.
