ATLANTA - Two legislative special elections that were on the ballot Tuesday in northeast Georgia are headed to a runoff, with no candidate in those districts getting a majority of the votes needed to win.

The unofficial results from the Secretary of State website report Republican Terry Rogers has won House District 10 (which includes Habersham and part of White counties) with 61 percent of the vote, with 99 percent of the precincts reporting.

In Hall County's House District 25, which includes Hall County, unofficial results show Emory West Dunahoo Jr. has received 21 percent of the vote and Bobby Banks has received 20 percent of the vote, with 99 percent of the precincts reporting.

In the race for a third state Legislative seat in the area,

Tuesday's special elections were held to fill vacancies in the Legislature created when Gov. Nathan Deal appointed lawmakers to state posts earlier this year. The runoff elections will be held on Dec. 6.
