LULA - Paving is complete on the Georgia 365 resurfacing project in Hall and Habersham counties.
"I am proud to announce that all 84 lane miles of paving on State Route 365 is finished from State Route 52 to State Route 17," said Georgia DOT District Engineer Todd McDuffie. "The contractor still has to stripe the roadway with permanent striping and finish some cleanup work."
Based on contract stipulations, lane closures cannot occur weekends and temperatures are too cold for overnight work so the balance of the work will occur weekdays. The contractor plans to finish the work before the end of the year.
The 21-mile, $19.2 million project is well ahead of the contract completion date of June 30, 2012.
