ATLANTA - The state's highest court has unanimously rejected the latest appeal by a Hall County man serving two consecutive life sentences for sexually assaulting his underage daughter and two other underage girls 16 years ago.
The man, whose name we are withholding in order to protect the identity of his victims, was convicted of raping and sodomizing his daughter starting when she was 12 years old.
He was also convicted of three additional counts of child molestation involving his niece and the daughter of his brother's girlfriend.
The state Supreme Court's ruling affirms a state appeals court decision on an appeal filed three years ago after the man learned his daughter had recanted her testimony. Both courts agreed that appeal was not properly filed.
