New WCMS expected to be ready 6 months early

By Dean Dyer/WRWH
CLEVELAND - White County School officials learned recently that the new middle school should be ready for occupancy about six months ahead of schedule.

Schools Supt. Jeff Wilson credited the work of Charles Black Construction Co. for getting into the building at least six months early and saving the county money by coming in under budget.

Dr. Wilson told the school board said, "ya'll know they really pushed up...the line to get us in by January, and I give kudos to those folks. They've done a good job of not cutting quality while hurrying through to get done and it looks good."

The board of education took a tour of the new facility last week.

Wilson said plans now are to move furniture into the building during the Christmas holidays and have things ready for students following the holiday break.
