By staff reports
WINDER -- Apalachee continued its strong play in the second half of the season with a 47-0 pasting of Winder-Barrow Friday night in Region 8-AAAA.

The Wildcats (4-5, 4-5 Region 8-AAAA) have won four of their last five games and will close out their season next week at home against Loganville.

Stanley Williams had a huge night for Apalachee, especially in the first half. Williams accounted for 235 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns in the first half. He caught two long TD passes from Clint Ashe to go with three rushing TDs on the night.

Zay Henry and Eric Tanner each added one touchdown rushing with Tanner gaining over 100 yards for the night.

The Wildcats' defense helped set the tone early holding the Bulldoggs (0-9, 0-9) to just two first downs in the first half while building a big lead.
