Ga. loses 31,000 jobs in past 12 months

ATLANTA - Georgia lost 31,000 jobs between September 2010 and September 2011, according to the state Labor Department. Only four metro areas showed an increase in the number of jobs during the period.
Albany, Athens, Columbus, and Macon added a total of 41-hundred jobs.
At the other end of the spectrum, Dalton, Valdosta, Warner Robins, Gainesville, Augusta and Atlanta all lost more than a thousand each.
In Gainesville, the number of jobs decreased from September to September by 1,100 - a 1.5 percent change.
