GLENNVILLE - Authorities say five people have been killed in a head-on collision near the south Georgia town of Glennville and a sixth person is hospitalized.
The accident happened around 4 p.m. Thursday on Georgia Highway 144 in Tattnall County.
Georgia State Patrol officials say a woman and her two minor grandchildren were killed after they collided with another vehicle carrying two men, who also died.
Authorities say a third minor grandchild who was riding in the vehicle with the woman has been taken by helicopter to Memorial University Medical Center.
The state patrol was notifying relatives before releasing more details.
