Fired Forsyth official again appealing his dismissal

CUMMING - The Forsyth County Civil Service Board has taken under consideration another appeal from fired county planning director Jeff Chance.

Chance was fired last summer for misuse of his county email account.

Some of the messages reportedly included vulgar language and photos of naked women. Chance said at the time the material was sent to him by employees and that while he had verbally warned some of them, he had not stopped the practice.

His first appeal ended last December when the Forsyth County Civil Service Board denied it. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says the second appeal was heard yesterday and the board has 30 days to issue a ruling.
