GAINESVILLE - A political forum is planned November 1 in Flowery Branch for the candidates running for the state House seat given up recently by James Mills.
It will be hosted by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, and sponsored by Jacobs Media and The Times.
The site will be the Spout Springs Library on Spout Springs Road.
It starts with a "meet and greet the candidates" at 5:30. The forum will follow at 6:00 media representatives posing question to the seven candidates in the race, six Republicans and one Democrat.
The special election will be one week later on Nov. 8.
Mills resigned Oct. 1 after being appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to the state Board of Pardons and Paroles.
