Forsyth breaking ground on four new parks

CUMMING - Forsyth County will soon break ground for four green space passive use parks -- the Harrison Property Park, Echols Road Property Park, Old Atlanta Park and McClure Property Park.

Purchases of these properties was funded by the $100 million Parks,
Recreation and Green Space Bond approved by voters in 2008. Construction of the parks was paid for by Forsyth County Parks, Recreation and Green Space bond, SPLOST funds and impact fees.

One groundbreaking is scheduled daily over the next few days:

*Monday, Oct. 10, 10 a.m., Harrison Property Park; 2755 Caney Road
*Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2 p.m., Echols Road Property Park; 2205 Echols Road
*Monday, Oct. 17, 2 p.m., Old Atlanta Park; 810 Nichols Road
*Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2 p.m., McClure Property Park; off Old Atlanta
Road, approximately 0.4 miles south of the entrance to Olde Atlanta Club
