GAINESVILLE - From blacksmiths to funnel cakes to toe-tapping music, Mule Camp Market returned to downtown Gainesville Friday.
The three-day fall festival continues from 10:00-6:00 Saturday and 12:00-5:00 Sunday.
Sponsored again this year by the Gainesville Jaycees, it features all kinds of arts and crafts, food, music and carnival rides.
Just like a year ago, the opening day was greeted with perfect fall-like weather, although it was a bit warm in the afternoon. By late in the day, as long shadows began to creep across the square, the crowds thinned and the vendors began closing up shop.
With more crystal blue skies predicted Saturday and Sunday, crowds are expected to swell for the event which typically draws around 75,000 for the three-day run.
