RABBITTOWN -- The East Hall girls continue to find the going rough of late, especially after a heartbreaking 42-41 loss to Dawson County Friday night at home.
The Lady Tigers' Allie Costley hit a layup in the final 20 seconds and then Jamine Jenkins' 3-point attempt for East Hall at the buzzer was blocked to preserve the win for the Dawson County, which snapped a six-game losing streak.
It was the third loss in five games for East Hall (9-8, 2-3 Region 8A-AA) all in subregion play.
Morgan Jackson paced East Hall with 13 points. Jenkins added 11 for the Lady Vikings.
Costley led Dawson County (7-7, 1-4) with 12 points. Carly Gilreath added nine for the Lady Tigers.
