ATHENS -- Lakeview Academy could not hold an early first quarter lead in an 81-64 loss to Athens Christian in Region 8-A play.
The Lions (10-10) led 23-20 after the first period, but was held to nine points in the second quarter while the Eagles ran out to a 42-32 halftime lead.
Jackson Wells scored 15 points, Austin Pearson had 11, and Nick Drury added 10 for Lakeview Academy, which shot 20 fewer free throws than the Eagles in the loss.
Lakeview Academy will trvale to Athens Academy on Saturday.
