LOGANVILLE -- Class AAA No. 4 West Hall remained perfect in Region 8B-AAA play after taking an impressive 82-52 win over Walnut Grove Friday night.
Shunquez Stephens led the Spartans (18-3, 9-0 in subregion) with 16 points. Jamaad Stephens added 15 points and William Stroup and Jarquise Young each scored 12 points for West Hall.
West Hall led throught leading 22-15 after the first quarter and then extending the lead to 41-28 by halftime. After building a 55-34 lead heading into the fourth quarter, the Spartans blew the game open outscoring the Warriors 27-18 in the final period.
The Spartans faced a similar lead against walnut Grove in their first meeting two weeks ago but let a 20-point slip away before winning it on a 3-pointer in the final seconds.
Walnut Grove was led by Nick Peters with 15 points and Chris Peters with 12.
The Spartans will get another big test when they travel to surging Gainesville on Monday.
