WATKINSVILLE -- The Johnson girls continued their strong play friday with a 62-48 win over Oconee County.
The Lady Knights (10-7, 4-1 in Region 8B-AAA) virtually the entire game. The led 20-14 after the first quarter and 30-28 at haltime. The used a big third quarter to pull away and then held on in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Knights wsere paced by Caitlin Sloan, who had 26 points and six rebounds,
Oconee County wa sled Gabby Barillard with 27 points.
Johnson next will trvale to arch-rival West Hall saturday in another key Region 8B-AAA battle.
