GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee boys snapped a 12-game losing streak Saturday with thrilling 65-64 win over Stephens County in Region 8A-AAA action.
Keelan Passmore had 24 points to pace the War Eagles (2-12, 1-1 in subregion). Cole Morgan added 22 points and Lucas Bennett 12 points for Chestatee.
Chestatee survived a wild final 17 seconds as Stephens County missed a pair free throws and a potential gamewinning shot at the buzzer.
Tomas Colbert had 16 points to lead Stephens County. Kamichi Fleming added 15 points for the Indians.
Chestatee next will travel to Union County on Monday.
