GAINESVILLE -- Gainesville rallied from a halftime deficit to beat oconee County 36-33 Friday night in Region 8B-AAA girls action at the Gainesville gym.
The Lady Elephants (7-7, 3-0 in subregion) outscored Oconee County 18-14 in the second half to take the win.
Rebecca Webster led Gainesville with 21 points and Kate Callahan added seven points and nine rebounds for the Lady Red Elephants.
They will get a test saturday at home when they play host to Class AAA No. 3 Walnut Grove (13-0, 1-0).
Oconee County was led by Gabrielle Bevillard with 12 points.
