GILLSVILLE - The cause of an early morning mobile home fire in East Hall was a heat lamp that had been left too close to a pet carrier.
Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell says the fire occurred about 7:00 in the 2800 block of Jack Bryant Circle.
They were both treated for smoke inhalation and released.
Kimbrell said the double-wide was about 60 percent involved in flames by the time the first units arrived. He said the pet carrier, which was in an attached carport, was open, so the animal that might have been in it was able to get out and is okay.
