Police in Gwinnett lose radar certification

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
LAWRENCEVILLE - Police in Gwinnett County are without one of the key tools they use to catch speeders.

Fox 5 reports that as of New Year's Day radar is off-limits to police in Gwinnett because of a disagreement among several government agencies in th ecounty.

Gwinnett County police and other police departments - including thoses in Norcross, Lilburn and Lawrenceville - are affected.

The certification was pulled by the state after city leaders and county officials failed to agree on a state-mandated agreement on services.
