By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
GAINESVILLE - Gainesville police are still searching for clues in a $30,000 theft that occurred at Lawson Air Conditioning and Plumbing on Dorsey Street on New Year's Day.

Spokesman Joe Britte says the loss included $10,000 worth of copper piping and a work truck valued at $21,000.

Debbie Lawson Davis, Chief Financial Officer for Lawson Air Conditioning, says the truck was found abandoned in Forsyth County Sunday but minus the tools that were on it and the copper piping.

Britt says the theft was discovered about 7:30 Saturday morning by an employee of the company.
