93-year-old man attacked with rock

MARIETTA - Family members of a 93-year-old Marietta man say he's hospitalized with severe head injuries after he was attacked by two teenagers.

Cobb County police say they're investigating the attack on Paul Smallwood at his Marietta apartment.

Smallwood's family says the teens showed up at Smallwood's apartment Friday night and told him he needed some work done on his car and that they knew a good mechanic.

The family says that at some point the teens hit Smallwood on the head with a rock, knocking him to the floor. Family members say the teens took Smallwood's wallet and cell phone and fled.

Police say they haven't made any arrests in the case.
