North Gainesville car break-ins

GAINESVILLE - Two juveniles are in custody in connection with one of several car break-ins that have occurred in north Gainesville the past few days.

The pair is charged with entering a car at Fitness Forum on Thompson Bridge Road Friday. However, the thieves who broke into cars on Green Street and Riverside Drive a couple of days later remain at large. And, cars were entered on Ridgewood Avenue and Heritage Place Monday.

In August, Gainesville police said car break-ins in the city were at an all-time high. (See earlier story.)
