Flowery Branch election today

FLOWERY BRANCH - While most of us are focused on the November 2nd General Election, today is election day in Flowery Branch.

A special city council election is being held to fill the vacancy left earlier this year when Craig Lutz gave up his seat on the council to run of Hall County Commission.

Two people are vying to replace him: Chris Strickland and Amanda Swafford.

The winner will need to be ready to hit the ground running. They'll be sworn in at a city council meeting Thursday night.
