GAINESVILLE - The third large drug seizure this week in Hall County netted about eight ounces of cocaine and the arrests of three Gwinnett County men.

"Agents arrested all three suspects as they conspired and delivered approximately 8 ounces of cocaine to a pre-determined location, in Hall County, during the course of an under cover drug investigation," Lt. Scott Ware of the Gainesville-Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad said. "The cocaine held an estimated street value of approximately $22,400."

Lt. Ware added that all three suspects were in the U.S. illegally and immigration holds were placed on them.

He identified them as: Pedro Zairo, 29, and Jose Antonio Hernandez, 38, both of Norcross, and
Adan Portillo Escamilla, 35, Snellville. Each is charged with Trafficking Cocaine and
Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute.

Earlier this week, two Conyers men were arrested on drug charges during a undercover operation that netted 24 pounds of marijuana and two Atlanta men were arrested when they allegedly tried to deliver $22,000 worth of methamphetamine to undercover agents. (See earlier stories.)
