GAINESVILLE - More than 20 pounds of marijuana was confiscated with the arrests of two Conyers men in Oakwood.
Freddie Zarate and Jose Alejandro Oliveres were arrested as they delivered about 24 pounds of pot to undercover agents, according to Lt. Scott Ware of the Gainesville-Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad.
Lt. Ware says Oliveres had his three children with him at the time. They were later turned over to their mother.
In addition to a long list of drug charges, immigraton "holds" were placed on both men because they are believed to be illegal immigrants.
The marijuana had a street value of $48,000, according to Ware.
