COLUMBIA, S.C. -- South Carolina cornerback Chris Culliver has been cleared to play against Georgia on Saturday.
Director of football operations Jamie Speronis said Friday that Culliver has been cleared by the NCAA.
Speronis says the Gamecocks are still waiting to see if offensive lineman Jarriel King will be available.
Culliver missed the season opening 41-13 victory over Southern Mississippi because of concerns about his eligibility.
Coach Steve Spurrier had been hopeful Culliver would be able to play.
The school has not said what questions were being reviewed regarding Culliver.
The NCAA sent South Carolina a letter of inquiry Thursday regarding the football program.
