SUWANEE -- Class AAA eight-ranked North Hall won a pair of key Area 8-AAA matches Thursday at Lanier High School.
The Lady Trojans (12-5, 4-0 in area) knocked off host Lanier in two games 25-14, 25-16 and then outlasted Johnson 25-10, 23-25, 25-20 to stay perfect in area play.
Kathryn Bell again set up the offense with 23 assists, four digs, and added three aces. Lauren Gregory had seven kills, 15 digs, and five aces and Megan Cox had 20 digs for North Hall.
Tess Patton added two aces and one block, Mary Kate Rushton had five kills, and
Lindsey Wright had a six-point service run with two aces for the Lady Trojans.
The Lady Knights (6-13, 2-2) rallied from their defeat to North Hall with a 2-0 win over Lanier 25-16, 25-19 in the nightcap.
Caitlin Sloan had 11 kills and two blocks on the night for Johnson. Lejavian Ratliff added four aces, Savannah Turk had four kills, and Britt Mimbs added nine assists for the Lady Knights.
Karis Sloan had four blocks, Kellsie Brisbois added three aces, and Brittany Panter had seven assists for Johnson in the two matches.
