August revenues up

ATLANTA - A bit of a silver lining in the dark economic cloud...Governor Sonny Perdue has announced state revenue figures for the month of August and they are up over last year's numbers.

The Governor announced that net revenue collections for the month of August 2010 (FY11) totaled $1,185,849,000 compared to $1,052,466,000 for August 2009 (FY10), an increase of $133,383,000 or 12.7 percent.

The percentage increase for FY11 compared to FY10 is 8.6 percent.
