Teen killed while trying to cross highway

DACULA - A 13-year-old boy was killed while trying to cross a highway in North Gwinnett.

Gwinnett County police spokeswoman Cpl. Jennifer Roberts says 23-year-old Kevin Sanders of Cumming accidentally struck Dakota Wilson of Auburn as the teen crossed Braselton Highway on Friday night. Dakota was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Roberts says it's not likely charges will be filed in the incident.
