Chamber kicks off annual membership campaign

GAINESVILLE- The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce kicked off its annual membership campaign last week.

Chamber member Ken Simmons with Limestone Gallery said on WDUN's The Local Hour Friday morning that there's some great benefits for new members this year.

"You join up between now and the end of September and we're going to provide you with coupons to get into the various chamber events for free," he said.

Simmons said being a member of the chamber has helped him network with other business owners and has improved his own store's sales.

Tony Paramore with Gainesville Paint and Design said he's had a similar experience.

"We've got a lot of new customers from it and we've also got new vendors too," Paramore said. "We had someone that was doing our printing that we weren't happy with, and I met someone at one of the chamber events and now they're doing all of our printing for business cards and advertising for us."
