Volleyball: East Hall drops pair of matches

GAINESVILLE -- The East Hall girls volleyball team dropped a pair of tough matches Thursday at the Lakeview Academy gym.

The Lady Vikings fell to Region 8-A/AA foe Lakeview 25-21, 17-25, 25-20 in the opening match and then lost to non-region opponent Oconee County 25-8, 25-18 in the nightcap.

Brittney Campbell had solid night for East Hall with with 10 points scored on serve to go with 17 assists and seven digs. Tarryn Long had 10 kills and four digs, Kara Hix scored eight points on serve and added two aces, four kills and eight digs, and Tatiana Castillo had five kills and nine digs for the Lady Vikings.

Kayla Croy recorded 10 points scored on serve with six kills, Tiffany Hewell added eight points on serve, and Andrea Harris had recorded six points on serve for East Hall.
