Ga. gas prices the lowest since June

TAMPA, Fla. - With the Labor Day holiday approaching... Georgia motorists are getting some good news at the gas pumps.

Triple A South pegs the average price for a gallon of regular statewide at $2.57 a gallon, a drop of six cents over just the last week and and the lowest its been since June.

Georgia News Network also reports that is also well-below the national average of $2.71. In fact, only five states have a lower average gas price than Georgia... including border states Alabama and South Carolina.

Only five states are paying less, on average, for gas than Georgia.
