UNDATED - Dangerously hot weather will continue across Georgia today.
In fact, virtually the whole state, including most of northeast Georgia, is under either a heat advisory or extreme heat warning today... with temperatures expected to reach well into the 90s and the heat index in the triple-digits again, topping 110 in the hottest parts of the state.
There was a break in the heat yesterday in parts of north Georgia.
It was the first time since July 4 that daytime temperatures in Gaineville were not above normal and yesterday's high of 79 broke a string of highs of 90 or more going back to July 20.
