Agora House founder, president dies

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
GAINESVILLE - The founder and president of Gainesville's Agora House and a longtime devotee to alcohol and drug addiction recovery has died.

Harold Albert Hinchman, 66, Gainesville, devoted the last 26 years of his life to such programs.

In recent years, he had clashed repeatedly with city officials over the location of homes for the men his programs served even taking them to court over some of his proposals.

Memorial services will be Thursday at 7:00 at the Little and Davenport Funeral Home Chapel.
