AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn safety Zac Etheridge has been cleared to return to the field this season.
Etheridge sustained a serious neck injury against Mississippi on Oct. 31, spending two nights in a hospital and wearing a harness-like brace for several months.
Etheridge tweeted Tuesday that he is ``VERY excited to announce that your very own (No.) 4 will be returning to the field this season with all of my love.''
Auburn confirmed that he will be able to play. The Tigers open fall practice on Aug. 3.
