Hearings planned on charter status for CMS

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
GAINESVILLE - Plans to turn Chestatee Middle School into a charter school will be discussed at two public meetings later this month.

One of them will be held on the 15th at Hall County school board offices on Green Street and the other on the 19 at the school.

Charter school status means - among other things - changing the name of Chestatee Middle to Chestatee Academy of Inquiry and Talent Development.

At the meetings, parents will get information about the charter and have a chance to apply for their children to attend the school.
