WHHS AD, asst. principal recommended for top job at school

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor
GAINESVILLE - Hall County Schools Superintendent Will Schofield is recommending Dr. Greg Williams to be the next principal at West Hall High School. Dr. Williams will be replacing Dr. Jackie Adams, who retired in June.

For the past six years, Williams has served as assistant principal and athletic director at the school. He first came to the Hall County School System in the fall of 1983 as a teacher and coach at North Hall High School.

Recently, he was elected by the administrators of the high schools in Region 8AAA to serve as region president. This is the region that many high schools in our area recently became members of after the realignment by the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), including Chestatee, Gainesville, Johnson, Lumpkin County, North Hall, West Hall, and White County.

The recommendation will be presented to the school board at its July 19 work session.
