New Walmart store to employ nearly 300

JASPER - Almost 300 new jobs are coming to northeast Georgia as Walmart gets ready to open another new store.

The opening is planned in late summer in Jasper and a hiring center is now open and taking applications.

It's located on East Church Street in Jasper and is open Mondays through Fridays, 7:00-5:00 and Saturdays from 7:00-12:00.

According to store manager Clete Marshall, the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates.
