CLEVELAND - The thunderstorms that grew out of the afternoon heat across north Georgia rolled through White County Tuesday night, but no major damage was reported.
White County Emergency Management Agency Director David Murphy said there were several trees in the county blown down, some hail and several scattered areas of the county lost their power when trees fell on power lines. Habersham Electric and Georgia Power crews were working into the early morning hours trying to restore power to the affected areas.
One of the worst hit areas for Joe Black Road, Whippoorwill Lane and Wren Hill Drive several trees were blown down along with power lines.
