By The Associated Press
GAINESVILLE - A Gainesville woman continues to defend her illegall immigrant husband who faces deportation after being caught fishing without a license. 25-year-old Josue Castro's immigration status was discovered after he was cited by a state wildlife ranger.

Beatriz Castro, who is an American citizen, says her husband was arrested last month by state Department of Natural Resources officers, who charged him with fishing without a license.

She told WSB-TV her 25-year-old husband, who was arrested five years ago while trying to enter the U.S. illegally, is a good man who holds a construction job, is active in his church and sends money home to his family in Honduras.

Officers turned Castro's case over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement after his arrest.

Attorney Arturo Corso, who represents Castro, says his client was arrested after an unlawful search and seizure but he will be deported without ever seeing a judge.

Hall County sheriff's officials say the officers did their job.
