Lanier Rubber Duck Derby raises $100,000+

GAINESVILLE - This year's Lake Lanier Rubber Duck Derby raised more than $100,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County.

Fifteen thousand yellow rubber duckies plunged into the water at the rowing venue two weeks ago. The winner of the $10,000 first-place cash prize was Lisa Hunter of New York who turned right around and donated 5,000 of it to the clubs.
