GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Board of Education will be asked tonight to close Jones Elementary School for the coming school year, in accordance with the plan that has been discussed in recent weeks.
Schools Supt. Will Schofield said this afternoon that the current students at Jones will be redistricted to Chicopee Woods and McEver elementary schools, if the school board adopts the plan.
The matter is on the agenda for the board's regular work session which will be held beginning at 5:00 at Chestatee High School.
Schofield said if the school board affirms the recommendation, it is recommended that the board also approve these procedural guidelines:
