GAINESVILLE - Clermont's request for representation on the Hall County Library Board will be considered by the board Tuesday night.
The Clermont City Council formally approved the application last week in light of the controversy over the location of the new North Hall library.
Mayor James Nix noted the board's constitution provides for membership from local governments that financially support the library on a regular basis.
Tuesday's library board meeting is at 6 p.m. at the headquarters branch in Gainesville.
