ATLANTA - Democrat Roy Barnes released 25 years of tax returns and called on his opponents in the race for governor to do the same.
The tax returns along with a a new financial disclosure form show that Barnes has raked in millions of dollars since he was ousted from the governor's mansion in 2002. He and his wife Marie listed a net worth of $16.6 million.
That's up from $12.6 million in 2001 just before he left office. His total income in 2009 was $5 million.
Barnes said Wednesday he won't apologize for being succesful and could bring the same level of prosperity to the state.
