GAINESVILLE - The head of the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce said she's still waiting on a response from city and county officials to her offer to pay for a mediator to settle Hall County's own "water war."
But, Kit Dunlap, appearing on Thursday's Al Gainey Show on WDUN NEWS TALK 550, pointed out that her letter to the mayor and county commission chairman only went out late last week.
"I've heard from a county or city official or two who said 'well, you know I wouldn't be opposed to that' but we really haven't heard back officially from either one of them, officially," Dunlap said.
However, since word of the offer surfaced Wednesday Dunlap said she has had "five suggestions of facilitators."
The city and county are at loggerheads over the future of the Cedar Creek Reservoir.
