GAINESVILLE - Two Brenau University Mass Communication students Tuesday won the national advertising competition for developing anti-drinking and driving advertising campaigns after a presentation in White Plains, N.Y., to top executives of the U.S. branch of a top international beverage manufacturer.<br />

Seniors Chenelle Morton of Lithonia and Colleen Sparrow, of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, entered the Effie/Heineken USA Collegiate Challenge as part of the requirement for the advertising principles course. <br />

The students were required to create a public service announcement, print advertisements and a social media presence for the campaign. <br />
