Baseball: 7-AAA showdown set for GHS-Creekview

OAKWOOD -- With a possible showdown for the Region 7-AAA title against Creekview looming Wednesday, it would have been easy for the streaking Gainesville baseball team to look past a slumping Johnson squad Monday.

Unfortunately for Johnson, the Red Elephants came out swinging scoring nine runs in the first inning, highlighted by two home runs from Will Maddox, en route to a 24-4 win in four innings over the Knights at Johnson Field.
