Woman robbed on Georgia Tech campus

ATLANTA - Police at Georgia Tech say a student was robbed as she walking on campus.

The campus police sent an e-mail alert to students and staff early Tuesday saying the robbery happened around midnight as the woman walked from the library to her car.

Police say the student was approached by a man, who demanded her belongings and that the victim gave the man cash. They say he was last seen on foot headed toward North Avenue.

The alert does not say whether the man was armed.

Several robberies in the Georgia Tech area have been reported in recent months but not all of the victims have been Tech students.
